Jocelyn Drainie, C.S.T.
Sound Practitioner, Certified Shiatsu Therapist, Body Focused Psychotherapy

Jocelyn Drainie has practiced in the healing arts since 1987. Her primary focus and source of delight comes from sharing sound work with individuals and groups.
Jocelyn began improvising musically at the age of five. Years later when she discovered the joy of sound work it seemed the most natural form of creative expression. In addition to improvisational vocalizing her favorite instruments to play are the piano, the didgeridoo, the Hang, the congas and singing bowls.

Jocelyn facilitates a monthly gathering known as Sonic Medicine, Intentional Sounding for the benefit of others. During these experiential events participants are invited to vocalize and create sound journeys using a beautiful assortment of user-friendly instruments. No musical training is required. These peaceful and inspiring gatherings are held monthly in London and surrounding areas. Jocelyn facilitates sound healing circles for private groups, social service agencies, schools, churches and professional organizations and she also uses sound to facilitate grief work and support individuals in palliative care.

Jocelyn is a graduate of the Sound Practitioner diploma program from the Transformational Arts College, Toronto and has completed ‘HealthRHYTHMS – group wellness and empowerment through drum circle facilitation’.
She is also trained in Shiatsu Therapy and Body Focused Psychodrama (emotional coaching).

In 2002 Jocelyn wrote, performed and produced ‘Soul Gifts’, a meditation CD honoring the sacred path of life transition, loss and renewal. Her second CD is nearing completion..
